Artist Statement

Lil Glitch's practice predominantly works around alternative photography processes with a running conflict between digital and analog methods. Experimenting with no plan for an outcome and using different mediums is more of the interest, than the final pieces of work themselves.

Lil Glitch uses photographic mediums such as film cameras and works within the dark room layering, scratching and adding various objects to negatives. These are then sometimes scanned into computers along side images produced from a digital camera, from there they can be edited using different software technologies to corrupt the image files. The work is then often printed onto acetate and projected with an overhead projector or blown up and printed to a large scale.

Man Ray has been a heavy influence for Lil Glitch, as is the contemporary photographer Stephen Gill, both known for their experimentation within photography.
